SXPanacea: A recap of SXSW 2019

Wow, just wow Austin. For SXSW we completed 36 events in 15 days. We had 5 trucks running and averaged 17 hour days!

Before the trucks loaded up and hit the streets, our team spent hundreds of hours designing everything from venue transformations to themed lounges. A Panacea specialty service that goes beyond just furniture rentals, we love to collaborate with our clients to bring their grandest visions to life. Custom printing, vinyl wall wraps, floral photo walls, custom art installations – you name it, we deliver what it takes to take your event to the next level.

We were so excited with our new partnerships and prior clients, and proud to see our many activations come to life.

Here is a peak into some highlights from SXSW 2019!

The Jane Club

The Jane Club is rewriting the rules between women and work. We loved designing a weekend full of events with incredible women! The Jane Club brought us on to totally revamp a South Austin home to fit their co-working space similar to the Los Angeles hub. It was a weekend of intimate dinners, brunches, and activities. CNN

You gotta fight for your right to party! Our 80s custom pieces for CNN had us moon walking down Rainey Street. We worked closely with their events team to transform every corner into a totally 80s clubhouse. Check out more of our complete venue takeover from CNN.

SXSW Official

As an official partner of SXSW we love that our one of a kind pieces get a front row view from official activations like the Podcast Stage, Meet Up Pavilion, Gifting Lounge, Virtual Cinema, Startup Spotlight, and Wellness Expo. If the stage conversations weren’t enough, these pieces were a conversation starter of their own.

The Highwaymen

With Netflix’s The Highwaymen we transformed Banger’s into an authentic speakeasy. Working with the boutique marketing agency Collide, we designed a space that was filled with gambling, shopping, a visit from the cast, and amazing musical performances!

Lululemon

Our full Clive Bar transformation for Lululemon created a mindful oasis called The Sweat Life. What a wonderful escape for peace during SXSW. One of the biggest impacts was the custom entry portal and the vinyl wraps for the inside walls. Scroll through for before/after shots and read the review from KUT.

Tito’s Vodka

Dog Party! Since Tito’s Vodka is officially vodka for dog people, what is a better way to party than with your pups? These custom copper disco balls had us partying at Arlyn Studios all day and night.

Nylon

Nylon’s celebration of National Women’s Day at Cheer Up Charlie’s had us screaming GIRL POWER! Our bright sofas were so perfect for this energetic night. Nylon’s showcase review and photos here.

Microsoft

Still in awe of this custom hanging art installation for the Microsoft party. Each of these pieces were hand painted and hung to create this mesmerizing 3D installation. This was our third year working with Microsoft to bring their ideas into creation, from custom artwork to vinyl wall wraps to themed centerpieces. Call me, beep me, if you need to reach me for something custom for your next event.

Fender

“Fender launched their Fender Next program aimed at amplifying artists as they evolve throughout their musical careers.” We loved making this cozy space for guests to play and listen to new music. That really is what SXSW is all about! Read more here.
