Panacea’s Culture of Service

“If you light a lamp for someone else it will also brighten your path.”

At Panacea, our mission is simple: we create inspiring experiences. Whether we are producing a summit of political thought leaders, curating a backstage lounge at one of the nation’s largest music festivals, or styling an intimate backyard celebration, we create experiences that bring people together.

Cultivating these special moments that spark connection is our guiding light. This is the core of our service. But so is service itself.

“Living in service of others provides a daily reminder of our greater purpose,” says Panacea co-founder Lisa Hickey. “This motive makes the days more fulfilling, and keeps decisions aligned with our company’s mission and best intentions.”

Service is not just how we strive to bring our clients’ visions to life, with the intention of making their jobs easier, or even exceeding expectations at their event. Yes, as our name implies, we strive to be the cure for everything. We are here to help!

Service is intrinsic to who we are as a company. Nothing is more important. Real talk, there are certainly times when we get it wrong or miss the mark, but we find opportunity for growth and improvement in these moments. Most days we get it right because we care. We care about the outcome of your event, we want everyone to win, and we live to create those moments of joy.

We are strongly committed to giving to others and building community. In 2018, we proudly donated nearly $100,000 in goods and services to nonprofits such as Dell Children’s Medical Center Foundation, Creative Action, Austin Parks Foundation, Trail of Lights Foundation, Entrepreneur’s Foundation, Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, Austin Film Society, Equality Texas, The Texas Tribune, and more.

Service is also paramount to the culture of our team. As is the case for most, many weeks we spend more time with our team than we do our families, so it is important to take time to serve each person on our team. We encourage our work family to treat each other with that service mindset of conscious listening, respectful behavior, and teamwork.

“Each team member has become an integral part of the overall culture of Panacea,” reflects co-founder Autumn Rich. “Teaming up with one of my closest friends and confidants to build this company has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my life. I feel fortunate to be heading into whatever may come with pride and anticipation..”

If creating memorable moments and bringing people together is our mission, then service is our higher purpose – the lamp we light for others that also brightens our own path.
