Exploring Austin Street Art + Panacea Collection

For months, we’ve been adding amazing pieces to our inventory and designing amazing events for old friends and new! Being longtime Austinites and lovers of all things Austin, we thought, what better way to pay homage to Austin than to share our new pieces in front of Austin’s best murals on a random day of the week? So we took to the streets and partnered with Autumn Rich & Co., Gypsy Floral, The Southern Influence, Keith Kreeger and The Southern Loom to create an elaborate photoshoot throughout the city. We got a few curious looks to say the least!

We started our day at the Greetings from Austin mural on South 1st. This mural was created in 1998 by Roadhouse Relics artist and owner Todd Sanders and his friend Rory Skagen to add vibrancy to the SoFi neighborhood. This was the perfect place to showcase our new Emerald Velvet Chesterfield sofa. This vintage-inspired sofa pairs beautifully with our Flokati chairs for a boho-chic look, or with our Acapulco chairs that provide a more laid back, mid-century resort-style feel. Add a vintage textile like the Southern Loom rug pictured below, and you have a gorgeous vignette fit for any event or home staging project. And if you swoon over vintage rugs as much as we do, be sure to check out the constantly changing inventory on the Southern Loom website – they sell quickly!

What’s more Austin than Willie? Knowing one of our founders Autumn is his biggest fan, we hopped over to South Congress to say good morning to the “Willie for President” mural outside of Stag.

We took a more Moroccan approach to this vignette showing off some of our latest faves – like the gorgeous vintage poufs pictured below! To provide sharp contrast, we styled this vignette with our Drake Sofa. Other pieces included our Copenhagen Coffee Table, florals by Gypsy Floral, one of our gorgeous garden stools, and some decorative pillows for a finishing touch!

Aaah, the I Love You So Much mural, a staple in the SoCo neighborhood, and the perfect place for us to further pronounce our love for the city we call home! We had to do a small vignette here due to time constraints, but a big thanks to the team at Jo’s Coffee for letting us set up shop for a quick photo!

Just like the red letters pop against the sage wall of Jo’s, it was an obvious choice to style our vintage red velvet Elizabeth bench in front of the mural. …And boy did it make a statement!

As the sun lifted higher in the sky, we kept moving onward to Threadgill’s. We did a simple chair vignette in front of their “You Make my Heart Sing” mural.

We love the complexity and regal feel of our Chaumont and Sophia chairs against the urban cement walls. We added a pop of greenery, our Harper side table, a rug from the Southern Loom, books and a Keith Kreeger vase to polish the look.

Up next: a quick jaunt to the Clarksville neighborhood outside Nau’s Enfield Drug, for one of Austin’s newest murals that was a gift to the city from GSD&M.

We paired our blue velvet Chesterfield sofa with a Cyndi chair, orange Zebra pillows, one of our side tables topped with accessories and florals by Gypsy Floral, and another gorgeous rug from the Southern Loom.

One Hello mural, two great looks. This vignette featured the Lorde sofa in all its blush pink velvet glory. The first look included our Palm pillows,

The second look included West Elm throw pillows, a vintage rug from the Southern Loom, the Harper side table, our antique Operator side table and gold accessories filled with floral arrangements designed by Gypsy Floral.

Our final stop on the Austin street art tour ended with the “You’re my Butter Half” mural, created by Antihero Ink, at the United Way for Greater Austin offices. The culmination of a perfect tour of Austin street art with our team!

A colorful and eclectic vibe was the ideal way to style this vignette. Our Jarvis Settee fit perfectly in the middle of the mural surrounded by a Rattan table, our Chinese Secret side table, a beautiful rug from the Southern Loom, and a few Panacea Collection throw pillows.

We hope this locally inspired post will give you loads of inspiration for any upcoming events in the Austin area.
