Culturati Summit 2020 Highlights

In January, Panacea produced the 5th annual Culturati Summit in Austin, Texas. Culturati is a thriving community of more than 250 CEOs and executives focused on building high-performing corporate cultures. This intimate event allows C-Suite Level executives to open their Culture Playbooks and dive into the importance of workplace Culture.

Opening Night

We opened this year’s event on Sunday at Robert B. Rowling Hall, The University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business, with Former Supreme Allied Commander of NATO & former Dean of the Fletcher School at Tufts University Admiral James Stavridis, USN (RET). He offered an intimate, human accounting of the lessons of leadership and character contained in the lives and careers of history’s most significant naval commanders, based on his new book, “Sailing True North: Ten Admirals and the Voyage of Character”.

Following the opening keynote, attendees went to one of our CEO Dinners – a highlight of this event. Guests have the opportunity to meet one another, and to deep-dive into the importance of culture at an extremely intimate level.

Summit Speakers

On Monday, the Summit kicked off at Brazos Hall, with breakfast provided by Maudie’s and coffee from Blenders & Bowls. Guests walked into a fully transformed Brazos Hall, thanks to Media Event Concepts. The stage set up featured a floating Culturati “C” and a runway-style stage. The furniture rentals and decor, provided by Panacea Collective, allowed guests to listen to programming in lounge seating or at tables throughout the venue, providing a dynamic arrangement for guests to connect in between presentations.

Following breakfast, attendees took in keynote presentations with powerful panels from Major General Angie Salinas (U.S. Marine Corps, Girls Scouts of Southwest Texas), Stuart Crab (Oxegen Consulting, LLC) & Carin Taylor (Workday). Each discussion focused on leadership within an organization.

Innovation Hub

This year Culturati introduced the Innovation Hub, located in Voltron at Capital Factory. Guests were able to connect and visit with Aduro, CultureAmp, NACD, Verb, and Encast about their products. Guests were also able to purchase boots from Chisos Boots, buy books from this years speakers thanks to Book People, and enjoy delicious cheese boards provided by Antonelli’s Cheese.

After mingling and breakout sessions at Capital Factory, guests were welcomed back at Brazos Hall for an amazing lunch from Peached Tortilla on the rooftop. Once lunch was complete, guests went back downstairs at Brazos Hall and enjoyed keynote sessions by Jeremy Hunter (Executive Mind Leadership Institute at the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University) with “From Mindless to Mindful: Transforming the Way You Lead,” and Amy Nelson (The Riveter) & Arlan Hamilton (Backstage Capital) discussed “Reshaping the Leadership Narrative“.
