Brand Activations: A Closer Look at Event Transformations

One of our favorite things about event production and design is seeing a space completely transformed. We had the pleasure of working with our new partner for two Best Buy event activations this Spring, Dad 2.0 Summit in San Antonio, TX and Mom 2.0 Summit in Austin, TX.

With Dad 2.0, we started with an empty hotel ballroom and finished with a fully functional man cave. At Mom 2.0 we began with a hotel meeting room that turned into a dream kitchen and lounge. Read on to see how we helped to bring this client’s vision to life.

Dad 2.0 Summit – Best Buy Tech Zone – SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – FEBRUARY 21-23, 2019

The Dad 2.0 Summit is an annual conference where marketers, social media leaders, and blogging parents connect to discuss the changing voice and perception of modern fatherhood.

Speakers included comedians Dax Shepard and Rhys Darby, professor Wizdom Powell and fitness entrepreneur Shaun T, and many more!

The ask:

Transform a stuffy hotel ballroom into a functional and sleek man cave with working appliances and TV lounge.

We started with 3D renderings of the space with fully customized walls, floors, and furniture to completely change the look of the current room.



The transformation:

Vinyl wood flooring, faux rock accent wall and dark gray walls, furniture rentals and decor, appliances and electronics set. Prep and ready for guests.

The result:

The perfect place to snack and test out new products from Best Buy in between sessions and bro bonding!



Mom 2.0 Summit – AUSTIN, TEXAS – APRIL 24-26, 2019

Mom 2.0 Summit is the premier professional conference and gathering of influencers who create content online and on-air in parenting, entertainment, food, politics, business, marketing, technology, social change, travel, and design.

Speakers included research professor Dr. Brené Brown, actress Amber Tambyln, and many more!

The ask:

A sophisticated space to lounge, but functional with fun, local, flair. Customized floor, cabinets and counters for a place that feels like home.

We started with 3D renderings of the space with furniture and style, and of course an interactive photo wall that really gave that WOW moment.



The transformation:

Chic furniture rentals that tie in the client’s brand colors, making the room fun and functional. Vinyl flooring, plus custom cabinets and countertops. A made-to-order “With Love From Austin” photo moment, with hand-crafted paper triangles in the shape of Texas, to complete this 3D look.
